How much does a design change?

It really is amazing just how much a game design changes over the life of the development cycle. Looking over the file folder of papers and notes on random napkins I can not believe that the recently named Sight2Site was formed of the same mold that was knows an Not Another Platformer (NAP).
The audience has shifted from casual/hardcore gamers on the PC to HARDCORE PC/XBOX. Boomber, the cartoon character who could fire off his boomerang head will not fit in the twisted psychological space of Weaver. Sight2Site will defiantly not have a rating less than R, this may kill exposure but hopefully the audience will be intelligent enough to see read between the layers.
The one aspect that has remained the same is the Layer shifting platform action, detailed in the videos in the site. I guess that is the most important thing though, as Sight2Site named itself through this play mechanic.
Though I never would have planed this game as it is now I am continually enticed by its evolution, and beyond the haze I am beginning to make out the next evolutionary forum.
